Three tracks that need to be listened. Three tracks “buzzzing”. Hand-picked by Last Day Deaf for you…
Artist: Isabel LaRosa
Track: ‘HEARTBEAT’
Genre: indietronica, alt pop
A hauntilngly beautiful indietronica treasure with alt pop ensitivity, dark aesthetics, and fairy-like vocals by the multi-faceted artist Isabel LaRosa, sounds like a more goth Lykke Li, and is “inspired by situations involving two people who have a secret, mutual obsession with each other, and how they attempt to hide those feelings.” And yes is a super catchy one!
Artist: Sleeping Together
Track: ‘Summer Girl’
Genre: indie pop, brit pop
Summer’s already gone for good, but will keep it in our hearts for a few months, with the fascinating debut single ‘Summer Girl‘ by the British band Sleeping Together; The song features excellent vocals, ultra catchy hooks and manages to unleash tons of positivity in merely 173 seconds. Regarding the inspiration behind this ear-candy frontman Alexander says “Summer Girl was inspired by a short and sweet summer romance. At the end of summer, the couple agreed to go their separate ways…..” Unmissable for fans of great brit pop!
Artist: Blue Lupin
Track: ‘Soak’
Genre: dream pop
Another debut single we feel more than excited to feature is that by the collaborative creative project led by singer-songwriter Joanna Wolfe, Blue Lupin. ‘Soak‘ is a finely calibrated, dream pop song, with delicate melody, ideally balanced vocal harmonies, and a gradual, almost hypnotic build-up that will keep you engaged until its very last seconds. Captivating stuff!
Joanna explains, “Soak is a song born out of letting go of my grasp of the creative process. It came from a sense of letting go, taking the pressure off and diving into the playful side of creativity.”
