Three tracks that need to be listened. Three tracks “buzzzing”. Hand-picked by Last Day Deaf for you…

Artist: James Wyatt Crosby

Track: ‘Deep In Yr Mind’

Genre: indie rock

James Wyatt Crosby from Ontario, Canada is among the most sublime indie rock crooners we have heard for a while. ‘Deep In Yr Mind‘ contains all of the elements a magnum opus should have. Imposing atmosphere, well-balanced, expressive vocals, hypnotic guitar work, and an immense sentimental crescendo the listener will dive in and will be impossible to escape from the sentimental maelstrom. All of the aforementioned accompanied with a highly atmospheric video filmed by Steven Kelly.

And what about the lyrics? Get a taste with the last verse:

But if you ever want me
I’ll be around
If ever you’re lost
You know I can be found
I know all the places
The one’s where you hide
I know what you’re thinking
Deep in your mind

The track is taken from the album ‘Twins‘ by James Wyatt Crosby on Maisonneuve Music.

Artist: Husbands

Track: ‘Muzzle Me’

Genre: slowcore, indie, grunge

How ’bout a genuine mix of slowcore, indie & grunge? WTH? Yup, the band is called Husbands, hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, and their desolate downbeat lyricism is coupled with the (typical) heavy guitar distortion we often come across in grunge acts. The final result for ‘Muzzle Me‘ is an addictive song about ‘ruined relationships based on both things said and unsaid / a desire to retreat from social situations‘ on repeat for days….

Make sure you check this awesome (too!), acoustic -clean- version over here.

Artist: Oktavision

Track: ‘Wrong’

Genre: indie electro

Oktavision is an uprising music project from Thessaloniki, Greece, judging by their impeccable indie electro gem ‘Wrong‘. The synth work on this one will transfer you to those great 80s-era days, when you (the elder ones) discovered a gret unknown act while enjoying the latest album by The Cure or perhaps New Order. Flawless, intense, well-produced, strong diy spirit and catchy as hell!
