Three tracks that need to be listened. Three tracks “buzzzing”. Hand-picked by Last Day Deaf for you…
Artist: Runrummer
Track: ‘Penny Drop’
Genre: indie electro
If you ever wondered which is the most emotional indie electro track, then you probably should listen to Runrummer‘s (aka Livi Morris) latest track ‘Penny Drop‘. Livi’s warm & expressive vocals match perfectly with the bittersweet melody, and the heart-warming and at the same time thought-provoking lyrics (“this song is about being in a relationship and suddenly realising that something’s not right. That penny drop moment where suddenly everything makes sense and becomes clear, even if the conclusion is a negative one. It follows a story where two lovers realise it’s over, but at different points and in their own separate ways“).
Sublime by all means!
Artist: The Magic Es
Track: ‘Fine Lines’
Genre: indie, rock
For one moment I thought, while listening to The Magic Es‘ latest gem ‘Fine Lines‘, that it was October 23rd…1995! Oh, no it’s 2018; But from which “time-hole” did these dudes jump out from? Doesn’t make much sense? Well, the Norwich-based trio plays great rock n’ roll music (you know vox, guitar, bass, drums….and a bit of piano!) with some more than memorable brit-pop melodies. Going to put on my 90’s jeans and my Oasis’ t-shirt. Refreshing & vital! Definitely (not) maybe…
Artist: Rockwelz
Track: ‘Get Da Strap‘
Genre: rap, hip-hop
Hailing from The Greater New York Rockwelz dropped this banger since he found it necessary with all the shootings happening in the inner cities all over U.S..A. the last few months. Needless to say that ‘Get Da Strap‘, along with Childish Gambino‘s ‘This Is America‘ are both masterpieces against gun violence. Vital!
