Three tracks that need to be listened. Three tracks “buzzzing”. Hand-picked by Last Day Deaf for you…
Artist: L.O.E
Track: ‘People Like People Like Them’
Genre: post rock, cinematic
Halifax-based Post-Rock standout outfit L.O.E (Last Of Eden) recently unleashed their cataclysmic, post rock opus ‘People Like People Like Them‘, and first release on Hopeful Tragedy Records )a subsidiary of Universal). The quartet used the same addictive speech like KAS:ST did 3 years ago for their anthem ‘Hell On Earth‘. This is a post rock hymn about humanity, whose key lyrics are the following “I’m a human being, goddamnit, my life has value!’“. On endless repeat, the best post rock release for 2022…. So far!
Artist: Weal
Track: ‘Turpentine’
Genre: post rock, noir rock
Another recent stunning post rock release, and also among the best for this year so far, is by the Danish band Weal, and is the first single from the upcoming album ‘Undivided‘ coming out on September 16th. A magnetic, slow-burner, a spotless blend of post rock, Nordic nori rock with noise rock outbursts with a great “behind-the-scenes” accompanying video.
Artist: The Lunar Towers
Track: ‘Happy as Larry’
Genre: indie rock, power pop, garage
Are you still missing the great 90s indie rock days with the super catchy, uplifting, sing-along choruses? No worries! The Lunar Towers are here with their magnificent indie rock-power pop-garage rock hybrid, ‘Happy as Larry‘, heavily influenced by the 90s Golden indie era, and bands like living legends Teenage Fanclub! In just over 3 minutes they will leave you begging for some more, with a super addictive chorus, and a vital anthem for summer 2022. Turn this ear-candy up loud, get up and start dancing!
This splendid single is out on Colorama Records.
