Rock icons Melvins are back at it again with the release of their new single ‘Christ Hammer’ from upcoming 23-track double album ‘A Walk With Love And Death’. The track’s “name alone says it all,” singer/guitarist Buzz Osborne states, and can only be described as a marvelous trashing. Check out the chilling trailer for ‘A Walk With Love And Death’ below. The band’s first ever double album will be compromised of two dual personalities: ‘Death’ being a “proper” Melvins’ release, and ‘Love’ – the score to a Jesse Nieminen-directed short of the same name.
The albums feature such illustrious guests as Joey Santiago (Pixies), Teri Gender Bender (Le Butcherettes/Crystal Fairy) and Anna Waronker (That Dog); keep your eyes peeled for Melvins live, as they’ll be undertaking a massive 12-week North American tour this summer, beginning June 24th in San Bernadino with a one-off concert with equally epic rockers Tool and Primus. You get your hands (or digital ones) on ‘A Walk With Love And Death’ via Ipecac Recordings this July 7th.
