Los Angeles ambient shoegaze artist body / negative is gearing up to release their upcoming album, Everett, scheduled for December 8th via Track Number Records. The third offering from multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Andy Schiaffino’s project, this album was masterfully handled by Slowdive’s Simon Scott and boasts collaborations with admired artists like Midwife (Madeline Johnston), Justin Maranga (Ancestors/Dune Altar Records), and Amulets (Randall Taylor). The first released track, Persimmon, is a sonic journey reminiscent of Slowdive’s Pygmalion era, melding shoegaze and ambient influences to create a single track that explores the duality of a person – a pessimistic optimist. A sublime ambient shoegaze masterpiece.

This could very well be the alternate ending scene soundtrack for Gregg Araki’s cult flick The Doom Generation.
