It took them 16 years to release something new since their breakthrough album ‘Since I Left You’, with the immaculate self-titled opener. Yes, the words are about the Australian electronic act The Avalanches, whose long awaited second album  ‘Wildflower’ (July 8th to be released) is introduced to us by the lead single ‘Frankie Sinatra’. Having premiered on Australian national broadcaster Triple J on Thursday, the track mixes calypso with Danny Brown and MF Doom, all set in a playful canvas; overloaded with samples, with –well over 100 reference mixes. Of course, miracles scarcely happen nowadays…

Regarding ‘Wildflower’, it will be comprising 21 songs and among the featured artists will be Danny Brown, MF Doom, Camp Lo, Warren Ellis, Jennifer Herrema, Toro y Moi, Father John Misty and Jonathan Donahue.
