Violet Viola, a new musical force hailing from Buffalo, NY, emerged in 2023 and is composed of Kevin O’Connor (guitar/vocals), Gandi Rizek (guitar), and Joel Russell (synthesizers and electronics). Their latest creation, Embassy, is a highly melodic indie rock gem with excellent vocals and dream pop aesthetics. Drawing inspiration from an eclectic mix of musical influences, ranging from the Beatles, Galaxie 500, Bob Dylan, My Bloody Valentine, to Nick Drake, among others, this track is a splendid bastard child of diverse musical heritage.
