Midnight Lights holds a special place in Shaker Bloomheart‘s live performances and serves as the final track on their debut album, stickintheheadable. Recorded at London Bridges studio in Seattle, it was meticulously engineered, mixed, and mastered by Chris C. Hill. The song features Brad Shults on guitar, piano, and vocals, with Mike Batzer on bass and Rebecca Berrace on drums, both contributing backing vocals. A driving indie rock anthem, Midnight Lights skillfully layers melodies, building up to a powerful closing two minutes where harmonious vocal arrangements, distorted guitars, dynamic piano, groove-infused bass, and thundering drums unite to convey the album’s overarching message: amidst life’s chaos, we find beauty in the mess, acknowledging that we may not be doing well, but we are resiliently discovering moments of transcendence.

An indie treasure!
