French artist Sandy Lavallart, the brain behind Kwoon, is finally back with a new album this year (Odyssey, September 2023), and a European Tour , and his recently shared track and video Blackstar is an excellent taster. This spine-chilling ambient-neoclassical-post rock composition starts in a highly atmospheric way that sets the listener in the most ideal mood for what’s about to follow. After the 2.40 mark, the composition builds up into a volcanic crescendo to unleash its immense beauty. More esoteric than before, yet more emotive and deeper than ever….
