Having been lucky enough to live (and survive!) the 90s indie “golden era”, Joe Nacco‘s Waterfalls & Wonderwall (1995) came as the sweetest shock to me. The song is a stunning indie pop/rock banger with a super catchy melodic line, excellent vocals and the pure 90s energy that I miss from the majority of the current indie tracks. It’s feelgood and uplifting as well, but this magnetic ear-candy achieves to unleash that bittersweet nostalgic emotion, that most 90s indie/emo “kids” utterly adored. According to the multi-instrumentalist, alternative/hard rock artist from Phoenix, AZ. this song is about the 90s, during a time where you couldn’t go anywhere without hearing TLC or Oasis on the radio.

Joe Nacco hit gold vein…. On endless repeat!
