After a dozen delicious but indistinct cocktails, what I sought came firstly in the listening of her new song ‘Cocktail’ and then as a taste supplement for my already tasteless alcoholic nightlife. Nalyssa Green became, so to speak, the summer flame with solid electric sounds, sexy surreal lyrics and a voice like a summer night’s dream. I’m sure it will be heard through the speakers of famous night bars or not, or being played in medium volume amid sighs and voluptuous sucking in a hot wet room. It is a song that could become the heading and the hymn of summer euphoria according to the singer-songwriter. The video for the song, which you can watch below, is directed by the existential artist Kakia Konstantinaki.
Other songs she has sung in Greek include a cover of a Manos Hatzidakis’s song and the song ‘Filoumena‘ for the eponymous theatrical play, among others. Her latest official release from Inner Ear Records is the English-speaking album, ‘The Seed’ (2012).
By the way, let me cite a recipe, which, along with the aforementioned musical spice, will become the indispensable addiction of the summer.
