Andrew Applepie – ‘All About Money’

About Andrew Applepie

German electronic artist Andrew loves creating songs with everything he gets his hands on. He uses all kinds of instruments, ranging from familiar choices like guitar and drum machines, to exotic contraptions he picked up while traveling, to all the stuff you would find in a kitchen. Although some of his songs appear to have the feel and structure of sampled hip hop beats, he only uses parts he has played or recorded himself. His unique style transpires his charm, whits and happy nature, bringing an organic sound and laid back timing to electronic music. New York film maker and „YouTuber Of The Year“ Casey Neistat (8 million YT subscribers) as well as many other vloggers keep playing Andrew Applepie‘s music in their videos and millions of people around the globe are listening.

Zoë Moss – ‘The Operator’

About Zoë Moss

In 2011, six weeks after moving to New York, Zoë got hit by a cab. For Moss, that was when life truly began.

The following years were a blur. Partially due to the concussion. And partially due to Moss’s newfound relationship with the underbelly of New York artistic society. Moss entered an experimental period. Combining the production styles of hip hop and pop music with the melodic and lyrical style of her indie rock roots, Moss found her sound: a blend of Brooklyn warehouse grunge and pop songwriting sensibilities.

“New York City – more than anything – inspires the way I make music, I love embracing the grittier sides of the city in my music. I feel like it parallels my personality. There’s a side to New York that is social and dynamic. But then there is an underbelly that will devour you if you’re not careful.”

In 2014, while studying at the Clive Davis Institute at NYU, Moss landed her first major label placement. A folk pop jam called “Sinner” for Andy Grammer, encapsulating Moss’s wholesome personality and traditional values.

In 2015, Zoë was hospitalized for an adderall overdose and was accidentally committed to a mental ward for several hours, the whole time swearing she didn’t do it-whatever “it” was.

Since then, Zoe has written or lent her vocals to cuts for Grace VanderWaal (vocal production, Columbia), Brooks (Universal), Mothica (Kobalt), Jordyn Jones (Create), Fly By Midnight, and has participated in sessions with Larzz Principato, Ido Zmishlany, Andy Seltzer, Scott Harris, SoFly and Nius, Mike Campbell, The Xi/The Eleven, and Daytrip.

Under her own record label, She’s No Good, Zoe is set to release her debut EP, Stories, a collection of seven songs that gives the listener an intimate look into what it’s like as a 20-something musician by day and wandering free spirit by night. The soon-to-be released EP features highlight tracks such as “The Operator,” a protest to how the industry sees female artists and “The Fantasy,” a sensual but edgy pop record with hints of R&B.

Zoe is the Kinks meets Jewel – Talking Heads meets Amy Winehouse. She draws her inspiration from a summer listening to Frank Ocean’s Nostalgia Ultra, and a childhood of the Rolling Stones’ albums. With her Stories EP, Moss creates a space for her own artistry and gives you a glimpse of what it means to be a pop artist in New York in 2020.

Lonely Gimmick – ‘Pessimistic Weather’

About Lonely Gimmick

Their work is self recorded, self produced, with the vast majority of the instruments featured on each track played by the artist. LG wants to share their music with the world and hopes people enjoy their music as much as LG enjoys making it.

Vern Matz – ‘Vagabond’

About Vern Matz

Hi-fi DIY tunes for your autumn blues. Formed at Yale University, the group is often described as a bunch of hooligan folk rockers who stand opposed to brunch culture. Joining him is the elusive Michael Lituchy, a Taurus who secretly writes songs in the twilight while raising cattle in remote Connecticut. Call 310-310-0888 to order Michael’s cheese, or to chat about the deficiencies of modern dating.
