What inspired you to first start making music? And how did you come to be in your current incarnation? Or if you prefer, a brief bio about you.

I started writing poems when I was 10 that quickly transformed into songs and then I started as a back up singer for other artists at the age of 15. Since then I’ve been working with music in a lot of different ways but mostly writing a lot of songs and touring. I started getting more interested in the business side of the music industry and that let me to start my label Sad Unicorn Recs a couple years ago.

Provide us with some info about your latest release…

I wrote emperors new clothes in London with a producer named Oscar Bell earlier this year and we knew right away we had something special. The song inamed after the famous fable by HC Andersen and is about re-finding your confidence and sense of self after a destructive relationship and finally seeing the other person for what they truly are. I guess you can call it a celebratory break up song.

Which ones would you consider your main influences both music-wise & non-music-wise?

I am musical influence comes from artist like Ray Charles, Sade Citizen Cope combined with a lot of new trap music, R&B and African music. I tend to think back to when I was a teenager and what I listened to then when I get asked this question cause I think that’s where my musical perspective was defined. Other influencers comes from art, and movies and photography not necessarily anyone in particular, but I use a lot of time finding inspiration and other art forms to help me visualize the frame around my music.

In what way does your sound differ from the rest genre-related artists/bands and why should we listen to your music? In other words, how would you describe your sound?

I think art is exciting when we dare to use our own story as a platform for our creations and my story is one of a mixed kid growing up in Copenhagen with the African mom and a Danish dad. My dad was ajazz musician and my mom loved pop music like the. Carpenters and I think the mix of pop and jazz still sits in my music to this day. My lyrics are personal and mostly about self discovery, wrapped trap inspired pop melodies. it’s yummy, hahah.

Please name your 3 desert islands albums, movies & books…

Oh I’m so bad with these questions. I guess the. movies would be Kung Fu Hustle, Anchorman, and A Tale Of Two Sisters books would be Witching Hour by Anne Rice, The Bluest Eye by Maya Angelou and The teachings Of Don Juan by Carlos Castaneda. Albums are Lovers rock by Sade, The Astrud Gilberto album, and Israel Vibration – Cool and Calm.

Do you prefer studio or performing live and why?

I started my career mostly doing live and learned everything I know on stages around, Europe but the last few years I spent most of my time in the studio and really learn how to enjoy the process of that.I used to be very insecure recording and very confident on stage but these days it’s almost the opposite still if I have to pick one I think live music always wins because that is when you get to vibe out with the people who actually enjoy what you’re doing and nothing compares to that.

Is there any funny-unique story you would like to share with us, always in relation to your music ‘career’?

I have always been a big Lenny Kravitz fan and have had a handful of embarrasing fangirls moments wiht him though the years. The last one was at a club in NY where a spilled a full drink in his lab and made a run for it cause I couldn’t take another embarresment. Not a proud moment, haha.

Which track of your own would you point out as the most unique and why?

I think it has to be Blindspot which was the first release I did as kink I wrote that in London as well with the producer named greatness Jones and I felt it was this song that made me want to be a solo artist again after working mostly as a cool writer and top liner for other people there was something unique about the simplicity of this song they make me feel like I found the essence of the boys that I wanted to convey

Would you like to share with our readers your future plans?

I’ve been trying to collect my songs on analbum for sometime now and 2020 is definitely the yearto get that done. I also have a bunch of collabs coming out . this Cvid 19 lockdown created a lot of productivity for me that bred new projects that will be introduced this year.
