Carnation Blue

‘Patient’

[folk/country/americana]

Press Notes:

The well established band from northern Sweden, Carnation blue, is back with the second single from their upcoming EP.

With their variated playful sound, Carnation Blue is everything but predictable.

With roots from soul and blues mixed with pop/rock influences, together with Helene Åhström’s spot on lyrics, they create a completely unique sound.

Erin Ash Sullivan

‘Train From Gary’

[folk/americana]

Press Notes:

Erin Ash Sullivan is a Massachusetts-based singer-songwriter whose music focuses on the power of story to build connection. Drawing from the lives of others as well as her own experiences as a daughter, wife, mother, and artist, Erin’s songs harness language in unexpected ways to reveal the world through others’ eyes. Erin began performing her original music in New York City, where she co-founded the band Edith O with college friend Amy Speace, performed regularly at venues including the Bitter End and CBGB’s Gallery, and released an album, Tattooed Queen, which garnered critical raves. It is possible that the band broke up when Erin—who was at the time a sleep-deprived mother of a six-week-old—forgot to show up at the Bitter End for the band’s record release show. In subsequent years, marriage, children, and a career as a teacher, school administrator, and published author took center stage, but in 2018, Erin returned to writing and performing, and her first solo album, We Can Hear Each Other, is due out in the spring of 2021.

The Bootstrap Boys

‘Some Days’

[country/americana]

Press Notes:

This is country music, just like we know how to make it. It comes from days of hard work, nights in the honky-tonk, and mornings in the church. The songs have a distinct flavor of the workin’ man, folks with dirt on their hands, good times, bad times, drinkin’, druggin’, lovin’, livin’ on the road, and what a friend we have in Jesus.

We try to feel our roots all the way down in the earth and draw up the sound that country music has always been. It’s not broke, so we’re not trying to fix it and, hell, there’s plenty of room in the world for more of that sweet country sound.

We come by way of Grand Rapids, Michigan so there’s a northern flavor to our tunes that might take you by surprise if you’ve never played country music for the black bears on the Keweenaw Peninsula or sang your way to the middle Lake Michigan en route to a wild and magical island like we have.

Megan and Shane

‘Leaving It All up to You’

[americana]

Press Notes:

Megan and Shane have been writing songs together for over 10 years. During that time, they focused most of their energy opening up 3 School of Rock music schools.

During the shutdown they started writing more songs than ever and let the walls down. They believed so much in these songs they downsized and sold their house to pay for the recording of these songs and to release the album.

They are excited to share these personal stories with all of you and hopefully will hit the road this fall to support the album.

Tiblinski

‘Grief’

[folk]

Press Notes:

Tiblinski is dedicated to the bittersweet things in life. The extreme parallels of existence. the moments you cry so hard you can’t breathe. The moments you laugh so hard you can’t breathe. The moments you wonder if you just have difficulty breathing. Taking those strange dichotomies and presenting them in picturesque snapshots is the Tiblinksi mission.

With a modern Indie Folk sound set askew with angular song structures and wrapped in the dark, tongue-in-cheek humor signature to their sound they encourage a cautious optimism to hold you head high. After all, it can be hard to appreciate the whole picture when you feel painted in a corner. Tiblinski offers a different perspective on those issues.

Amy Lyhie

‘Superficial Night’

[folk/acoustic]

Press Notes:

Combining acoustic guitar and a light and warm voice, Amy’s music expresses a subtle mix of genres. Pop, folk, soul, rock and reggae influences are all present, bringing a freshness to the new scene.

Her debut album, “The Sunshine LP”, attracted the attention of several local venues and radio stations upon its release. She stays 4 consecutive weeks at the first position of the Top 10 of NIKY Radio, with her song “Alors Comme Ça”.

In 2020, she released her second album, “I’ll Be Alright”, which differs from the previous one by its brightly colored notes, whose emotions are imbued with a more alternative, soulful and bluesy atmosphere.

The Stars of Disaster

‘One Woman Man’

[indie folk/americana]

Press Notes:

The Stars of Disaster started playing together in February 2019, in Pittsburgh, but the songs started coming in 2014. Anthony Schiappa had made a go of it as an airline baggage handler in upstate New York, an academic in NYC, and an exile in Scandinavia. After returning to his Steubenville, OH, basement, trying to stave off the terrors of clock-punching and memory, he rediscovered his childhood love of making loud music.

Uncle Ben’s Remedy

‘Drink to Remember’

[americana/roots music]

Press Notes:

Uncle Ben’s Remedy is Ben Westlund, Harmony Griffin, Shawn Huestis, Brendan O’Connor and Jimmy Royce, playing all sorts of traditional and rock n’ roll instruments and stomping the floors; all while singing their hearts out in service to the song.

Virginia Coalition

‘Southeast West Virginia’

[folk/americana]

Press Notes:

Virginia Coalition is an American rock band from Alexandria, Virginia, whose five founding members met in the early 1990s. Often referred to as VACO by fans (and the band), the band self-released their first album, The Colors of The Sound, in 1998 and continues to bring the good vibes with new releases referencing their classic style.

Thomas Bryan Eaton

‘When The Darkness Falls’

[folk/singer-songwriter]

Press Notes:

While often seen wandering around the fret boards of guitars & pedal steels with Miss Tess, Western Centuries or JP Harris and the Tough Choices; Thomas also makes his own recordings reflecting his unique take on the music of America. Delving deep into the roots of this music and searching for ways to push it forward are at the core of his artistry & efforts. As a songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Thomas is more than capable of bringing even his wildest ideas to reality.
