Former Jam frontman Paul Weller is back in the arena again with a string of UK tour dates in support of soon to be released 13th solo album ‘A Kind Revolution’; following a few April dates, majority of his tour will be next year, beginning at Brighton Centre February 17th of 2018 and ending March 3rd at London’s O2 Arena. Set to feature on ‘A Kind of Revolution’ are guitarist of rock band The Strypes, Josh McClorey, who plays lead guitar on a few songs, and everyone’s favorite 80’s icon Boy George, who sings on a track. Said to be a continuation of 2015’s ‘Saturn Pattern’, Weller says the record was written about how the politics of today (Brexit, Donald Trump, the rise of nationalism) affect humanity and us all. “If the world’s going to change at all, and it needs to, it’s got to come from inside people, and that’s why the album’s called ‘A Kind Revolution’. Change has got to come through love and compassion and unity amongst people. As opposed to revolution which just shoots a lot of people and installs another line of leaders. Whether that’ll ever happen, I have no idea, but it certainly needs to. But I guess it addresses some of those things on the record,” Weller stated in a recent interview with NME. The 58 year-old has also just recently made headlines with the announcement he’s soon to be a father again. This will be Paul’s eighth child, and third with wife Hannah Andrews, who’s first two were given the names Bowie and John Paul. You can find new tracks ‘Nova’ and ‘Long Long Road’, which were shared along with the announcement of the LP, down below, along with a tracklist and list of tour dates. ‘A Kind Revolution’ will be released on CD, vinyl, and 10” box set May 12th.
