- Calexico – ‘Another Space‘
The alt-rock/americana/Tex-Mex band from Tucson, Arizona, Calexico, just released a new album ‘The Thread That Keeps Us‘ (City Slang, 2018). So for this week’s mixtape we have chosen a new song from the new work of the legendary desert rockers, called ‘Another Space‘. The new song is in groovy mood with a dominative super trumpet tune that takes the listeners in another space and in another time.

- Fuel Eater – ‘Apathetic Whistle‘
The Greek heavy/doom rockers Fuel Eater are self-releasing their second album ‘Soberian Kinship‘ on February 8th. Fuel Eater seemed promising since their beginning and the first single ‘Apathetic Whistle‘ from their upcoming album, reveals a dynamic work both technically and lyrically.

- Machine Head – ‘Volatile’
Machine Head’s new work has been very anticipated, as their fans seem to have mixed feelings by every release of the band. ‘Volatile‘ is the third official video released from their album ‘Catharsis‘ (Nuclear Blast) and shows clearly the intense social commentary from the band.

- Neon Lies – ‘Pressure‘
Something’s good must be going on at the moment in the capital of Croatia, Zagreb. With bands like Neon Lies, and their instant minimal synth/darkwave “ala-Suicide” hymn ‘Pressure‘ from their upcoming 2nd full-length ‘II‘ (Black Verb Records, January 29th), we are more than confident about the aforementioned assumption. Turn the volume up, turn the lights off and dance indolently til dawn…

- Laval – ‘Heart Of The Sea‘
Laval is a new French duo serving techno music and pushing its boundaries beyond with their debut release ‘TWSR‘ EP. Out on Stockholm LTD, the first track form the flipside ‘Heart Of The Sea‘ is a pure dancefloor anthem, for the u/g dark rooms, where real people enjoy themselves dancing, flirting and listening to non-commercial dance music. Here, at Last Day Deaf, we are more than confident, that you are one of those… Fashion-victims, keep away!
