  1. Chromatics– ‘Shadow

The description says it all: ‘Chromatics Pay Tribute To David Lynch‘s “Blue Velvet” & The Legendary Julee Cruise‘. One of the 2017’s tunes.

Shadow
Take Me Down
Shadow
Take Me Down With You
For The Last Time
You’re In The Water
I’m Standing On The Shore
Still Thinking That I Hear Your Voice
Can You Hear Me ?
For The Last Time
At Night I’m Driving In Your Car
Pretending That We’ll Leave This Town
We’re Watching All The Street Lights Fade
& Now You’re Just A Stranger’s Dream
I Took Your Picture From The Frame
& Though You’re Nothing Like You Seem
Your Shadow Fell Like Last Night’s Rain
For The Last Time

Close your eyes and just let it go… Respect!

  1. Ager Sonus – ‘Through The Desert

On Ager Sonus new album ‘Book Of The Black Earth‘, we are taken to a far off time and place. The music has a distinctly ancient near eastern feel, with crisp field recordings and bellowing drones. ‘Through The Desert‘ is the opening chapter of this dark and often horrific tale of ancient occult books and deep long forgotten passages, beneath the scorched Egyptian sand dunes. All immersive and uniquely disturbing.

  1. Beach House – ‘Chariot

Running back to Beach House isn’t hard to do on this previously unreleased track from their upcoming ‘B-Sides And Rarities’ compilation album. Swimming through the flames of a funeral pyre, lead singer Victoria Legrand’s voice beckons us to join her along with Alex Scally’s guitar, progressing slowly until the last minute when the synths coalesce in a kaleidoscope of colors.

  1. DeepDark– ‘The Doomed

Black Mara has unveiled their latest offering. ‘Inner Mystery‘ is a split between DeepDark and Xerxes The Dark, two prolific dark ambient artists. This release sees them both creating some of their darkest work yet. The first track revealed from this upcoming album is ‘The Doomed‘ by DeepDark. Field recordings and ritual instruments aid these drones in bringing forth a thick cloud of dark atmosphere. ‘The Doomed‘ is a perfect example of the all-encompassing darkness brought forth on their well balanced split. A worthy companion on long rainy nights of reflection.

  1. BISON – ‘Until The Earth Is Empty’

Until The Earth Is Empty‘ is the perfect soundtrack for this very dark era most of us go through; The pure sound of despair, desolation and frustration. BISON scream their words and bang their instruments in this dark anthem from their upcoming return (July 7) ‘You Are Not The Ocean You Are The Patient‘ through Pelagic Records. Dedicated to all the innocent Manchester attack victims, and in general all the ingenuous casualties of this “madness”.
