- Peel Dream Magazine – ‘Deetjen’s‘
Peel Dream Magazine shared a new official audio ‘Deetjen’s‘; This is the last single before the release of their debut album ‘Modern Meta Physic‘ (Slumberland Records, 2018). The days of waiting are coming to an end, so the debut album will be officially out on October 5th. ‘Modern Meta Physic‘ was written and recorded over a period of a month the fall of 2017. Peel Dream Magazine is the “nom de plume” of New York City – based musician Joe Stevens. Their music is between dream pop, indie pop and lo–fi and their sound carries influences from the 90’s underground indie scene with more significant, the sonic attitude of the indie pop/chamber pop legends Belle And Sebastian. With the project’s name is immediately referenced the producer John Peel who supported during his radio career the underground music scene regardless the genre. Peel is also the producer who promoted the dream pop genre from the beginning of its existence in the early 80s among many other genres.

- Benjamin Shaw – ‘Terrible Feelings!‘
‘Terrible Feelings!‘ is the perfect example of the complete antithesis between a track’s title and the feelings the listener obtains while listening to this magnificent gem. Taken from -born (accidentally) in Canada, raised in Blackpool and now hiding in Melbourne-, Benjamin Shaw‘s ‘Megadead‘ this one is an invaluable “bijou” you should get your hands on! Why? Just imagine The Beatles jamming with Boards Of Canada! What the heck? Okay, just press the play then. Outer-galactic pop..

- Bad Sav – ‘Hen’s Teeth‘
Ladies & Gents, really excited to present you one of the very best tracks of this year so far. Dunno, and don’t really care if I am overexcited about this one, ’cause here on Last Day Deaf we are above all music lovers. And we get excited. And we still fall in love with songs; Songs like Bad Sav‘s ‘Hen’s Teeth‘ proves that there is still plenty of indie inspiration out there, waiting from you to discover! This one is catchy as hell, and if you like Hope Robertson (Death And The Maiden), you should definitely check Bad Sav out, despite they “offer a far more guitar-oriented hard attack“. Compelling!

- e-LIJAH – ‘For A Chance‘
Produced, Performed and Mixed by e-LIJAH, and a sort-of tribute after Mac Miller‘s death, ‘For A Chance‘ is a striking emo/cloud-hop track that certainly deserves your attention. Moody atmosphere, ‘no-way-out’ lyrics and an emotional outburst that’s hard not to notice. Elijah Wheaton is behind the project, and hopefully we shall hear more from him soon. Meanwhile…
