The Bridge is a fine example of atmospheric art pop from the experimental pop-rock trio Parade, based out of Toronto, Ontario. The band features Stefan Hegerat (drums, compositions), Chris Pruden (synthesizers), and Laura Swankey (vocals, electronics). From their recently released album Lullabies After Storms and Floods, the song is about transformation and taking control of one’s life to attain what’s really important. It also explores the theme of escape, specifically the courage to walk away from dangerous or destructive situations. The track blends elements of jazz, post rock, and dream pop, breaking musical boundaries in a captivating way.
