Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of influences, Tres Leches effortlessly combines the danceability of Caribou, the experimental idm spirit of Four Tet, and the electro-funk ethos of Justice. The result is a mesmerizing fusion of infectious rhythms, captivating textures, and intricate sonic layers that will leave you craving for more.
Speaking on his song Tres Leches, Burt Hussell said: “I wanted to have a track on the album that was just a dance banger. Something you could just shake your ass too. I got this pedal called a Hologram Microcosm, and for me, everything you put into the pedal turns into instant rave. We got this groove going and we just started layering funky shit on top. Tim Lefevbre kept going ‘Fuck yeah, this is some yacht rock!’ The song kinda starts as this dance tune, but evolves into this spacey, face-melting trance joint. It’s a journey, that’s for sure.”
