Last week Nordic group Liima finished their first European tour with a sold out show in the main room of Berlin’s legendary Berghain club.  Today the band have added more European live dates to their 2016 diary, including an appearance at this year’s Iceland Airwaves. A full tour schedule can be found below or via liima.net.

Liima (formed by Finnish percussionist Tatu Rönkkö plus Mads Brauer, Casper Clausen and Rasmus Stolberg of Danish act Efterklang and meaning ‘glue’ in Finnish) have also shared footage from a live performance in the basement of London EDITION Hotel, as part of a week-long artist residency the band undertook earlier this year.  Watch the band perform ii single ‘Amerika’ by clicking the image below.

ii is out now and available digitally and via CD and LP.  Liima’s debut release features songs written during week-long artist residencies in Finland, Berlin, Istanbul and Madeira, and using a simple live set-up – synthesizers, drum samplers, vocals, effects pedals and a bass guitar. ii was recorded in just three days at Vox-Ton Studio, Berlin.

The first pressing of ii is available on neon green vinyl.  You can buy from the 4AD Store here (use ‘4ADAPRIL20’ at checkout for 20% off).
