Dutch artist RANI is set to release her new single ‘Candy Store’ on the 3rd February, her first on Snafu Records, and marks a new phase in her burgeoning solo career.
Written by RANI, ‘Candy Store’ is the autobiographical tale of a love interest who gave her all the signs he liked her, but wanting to remain on her guard, she played hard to get to see what his intentions were. She says, “Most importantly, for me the song stands for being confident in knowing what you bring to the table and if someone wants to be with you, they’ll have to give you what you deserve!”
Working with the Amsterdam-based production team Rock-A-Tune and Guus Mulder, RANI brings a renewed purpose to 2023 and a sound that elevates her into the company of the best young artists working today. About FARUR
Two old acquaintances, Kerkhof and Schulz, who have known each other from concerts they played together in their respective bands and have kept running into each other in other projects, have come together to form a new music project named FARUR. The project is a result of their different vocal styles blending together to create something unique and special. The songs are outrageously catchy, carried by guitars and synthesizers with a gloomy-poppy note that inevitably get stuck in the listener’s ear canals. The duo named their project after an alp in the Swiss Bündner mountains which is icy in winter, blooming in spring, warming in summer, and darkly colorful in autumn. The music is said to be for the driven, a bit gloomy, sometimes sad, but never completely without hope. The debut album 1 of FARUR will be released on April 31, 2023.
