“Smile Powers” is the third album by Bedroom Pop project Captain Fix & The Midnight Honeys – a virtual band channeling lofi grooves and childish melodies, made at home by Xav Clarke. Reminiscent of Shuggie Ottis as much as more modern home recordists, the album fuses drum machines, recorders and synthesisers, adding a world music flavour to the lofi grooves.
Based originally in London, now living in Bremen – Captain Fix & The Midnight Honeys have started performing full band concerts, consisting of other musicians from Bremen – bringing a dreamy and wonky soundscape to the stage.
