Today we feel more than excited to host the exclusive premiere of an extract ‘Maybe it’s Love‘ from Hell, it’s Paradise‘s debut EP ‘Heaven is near‘, dropping tomorrow July 3rd. Behind this electronic project is Victor Willems, also a movie director, who has the competence to transfer the cinematic narration to his sound.
‘Maybe it’s Love‘ is a fine blend of deep, progressive techno with tech house ethics for a summer unlike the previous ones, to wistfully dance, by the seaside, during sunset. A dazzling production, full of sensational beats and obsessive rhythm, and jaw-dropping pads. Utterly magnetic!
-heaven is (indeed) near-
Bio:
Hell, it’s Paradise was born from my desire to surround myself with talented people that I admire and with who I would like to work with. I have been making music since I was a teenager and this project allowed me to convert my work into reality. Additionally to my career as a movie director, I devoted time to music composition. My first single, Odeon, was released in 2016. I went on the following year with the Born Wild project, a short film that I directed and, for which I composed a bespoke soundtrack. Heaven is near is therefore my first EP. The songs are born mainly from a melody or a piano chord suite, which I then translate into electronic music : deep bass, techno drums and melancholic layers. That’s what my music is made of, which I hope is festive, captivating and melodious.
