deerhunter-new-tour-dates-new-album-2018

The experimental/noise/rock group from Atlanta, Deerhunter recently informed their audience that they are back in studio recording their new album with entitled ‘Why Hasn’t Evertything Already Disappeared?‘. At the time of writing these lines, no track has been available yet, while the first single is expected to be out this summer.

Deerhunter formed in 2001 by the singer-songwriter Bradford Cox -also known by his solo moniker Atlas Sound– and drummer Moses Archuleta. Both members remain until present in the band though the line-up has changed many times. Their sound  is hard to describe and their main influences are The Breeders, Sonic Youth, Stereolab, rock & electronic music, krautrock and even  disco.

Since 2004 they have released nine full length albums, with their most memorable ones ‘Microcastle / Weird Era Continued‘ (Kranky, 2008), ‘Halcyon Digest‘ (4AD, 2010) and their latest one ‘Fading Frontiers‘ (4AD, 2015).

Since their fans are going to remain in anticipation for few more months, until the new album drops in their hands, Last Day Deaf, (will soon) drops a 10-track retrospective of this great band. Stay tuned!
