Allah-Las are an LA based garage rock band who’ve made headlines in recent months after having been forced to cancel a gig at Rotterdam’s The Maassilo due to an alleged terror threat. Their epitaph alone has been the cause for controversy with some suggesting it was the cause of the threat, but as the band said in a statement released soon after the August cancellation: “The band, as always, supports, peaceful, non-violent protest in the pursuit of social and economic justice.

Taking that in hand, the garage rock band is back in the rhythm of things with a new 10-inch EP soon to be released. Due out November 3rd via Mexican Summer, the EP entitled ‘Covers #1’ is the follow up to 2016’s ‘Calico Review’. The first glimpses of the new EP have been released and you can check out Allah-Las covers of George Harrison’s ‘Fish On The Sand’ and Kathy Heideman’s ‘The Earth Won’t Hold Me’ below. Other tracks include Television and Further covers, and you can find the Allah-Las live this fall at Joshua Tree’s Desert Daze festival among other dates.
