What inspired you to first start making music? And how did you come to be in your current incarnation? Or if you prefer, a brief bio about you.

Everyone of us got his own story – we can all say that music and its making appearted in our lifes in the maturation period … and it’s still with us. The band named Popsysze was formed in 2008 and consists of Jarek Marciszewski (lead guitar, vocals), Sławek Draczyński (bass) and Kuba Świątek (drums, vocals). The band has released three albums: “Popstory” (2012), “Popsute” (2015) and “Kopalino” (2017) – all released by Nasiono Records.

Provide us with some info about your latest release…

The last album was recorded in April 2016 during a week-long stay in a summer house in Kopalino village. Most of the tracks were composed and arranged during this time. In the material recorded you can hear the sea, feel the humid earth. The surrounding got us so inspired that we decided to name the album “Kopalino”.

Which ones would you consider your main influences both music-wise & non-music-wise?

You have to be conscious to be free. We are trying to maintain continuous mindfulness to what we’re doing as a musicians.

In what way does your sound differ from the rest genre-related artists/bands and why should we listen to your music? In other words, how would you describe your sound?

We are not considering our music in that terms, we’re not trying to make music confronting it with other artist. Sometimes, when the song is finished some can say “Hmmm, it sounds a little bit like …” – but it’s not a matter while we are gluing song together.

Why should you listen to our music? For three people in the world (us) playing/making that music means something – You might be the fourth one.

Please name your 3 desert islands albums, movies & books…

J.R.R. Tolkien books, “Big Lebowski” movie, Creedence Clearwater Revival CD collection

Do you prefer studio or performing live and why? What should the audience expect from you of your live appearance at 2018’s SpaceFest?

We like both – studio and performing live. At 2018’s SpaceFest you can expect 100% Popsysze … as always.

Is there any funny-unique story you would like to share with us, always in relation to your music ‘career’?

Nothing that you can share during interview 🙂

Which track of your own would you point out as the most unique and why?

The one that we haven’t created yet. That means that we still have some plans.

Would you like to share with our readers your future plans?

We’d like to record and release a new album till the end of next year.

Free question!!! (Ask yourself a question) you wish to answer and haven’t been given the opportunity…
