9+1 Q&A with ACP PRO

What inspired you to first start making music? And how did you come to be in your current incarnation? Or if you prefer, a brief bio about you.

ACP PRO is currently a solo audio and visual art project. From my first garage band to the original ACP PRO duo, I have thrived on collaboration. The first album released by ACP PRO in 2017, as well as the two singles that followed, were joint projects. Now, as a solo artist, I am focusing on breaking free from the norm, mixing genres, and experiencing something new.

Provide us with some info about your latest release…

Atomic Trinity is tackling a serious issue we have today as world powers are positioning for Cold War II. We are in a strange world of divisive misinformation. One of the roots of the single is this faceless evil. With that being said, I want the listeners to take out of the music what they experience.

Which ones would you consider your main influences both music-wise & non-music-wise?

Oh man, I am a fan of so many different musical styles and genres it is hard to pinpoint, but I will say I have always enjoyed the music and films that came out of the 80s and 90s. The power of audio matched up with visuals that compliment each other has always had a strong impact on me.

In what way does your sound differ from the rest genre-related artists/bands and why should we listen to your music? In other words, how would you describe your sound?

A fan once told me after a show it felt like they experienced a Tarantino movie with music. I would say ACP PRO is about finding the root of impulse within the construct of our environment. Beat driven with touches of retro, horror and agressive tensions.

Please name your 3 desert islands albums, movies & books…

Only three!! Oh man, this is not easy for me to answer. Three in each genre? This question is my nightmare. If I had to name a few… I would say Album: Daft Punk Homework,

Movie: Top Gun and

Book: How to Survive on a Deserted Island Survival Guide.

Do you prefer studio or performing live and why?

Nothing beats a killer live show. With that being said, I truly enjoy my time in the studio.

Is there any funny-unique story you would like to share with us, always in relation to your music ‘career’?

Last year I got the opportunity to play a series of shows with Tim Cappello. It was a surreal moment playing with the musical act at the begining of the movie Lost Boys. Tim was such a nice guy and we had alot of fun at those shows.

Which track of your own would you point out as the most unique and why?

Raven and Wolves. When I started working on this, I just got back from Yellowstone National Park, which is amazing by the way, and found the relationship between ravens and wolves super interesting. It led me to work on a piece with a mixture of different musical styles working together for the greater good.

Would you like to share with our readers your future plans?

I am really excited about the future projects. I am currently working on finalizing a few more singles that will be part of a larger release. I am also working on developing a new analog visual effects unit. I was able to create a one off analog effects unit used in the video for Atomic Trinity and plan on expanding my capabilities as I work on new visual projects for ACP PRO and other artists.
