Matthew’s arrangements will captivate you with their honest melodies, lush harmonies and mysterious lyrics which reflect on the everyday to’s and fro’s of life. They hit hard, but always come for a cuddle afterwards.

After the successful launch of his 15-track album ‘This Heart’ in 2016, Matthew performed it alongside an incredible 18-piece ensemble creating a truly cinematic experience for his fans, full of a lush string section, earthy brass and a soulful choir. The performance was outer worldly!

Matthew takes his musical inspiration from the likes of Sufjan Stevans, Boy & Bear, Coldplay and Bon Iver. His music is deeply rooted with storytelling elements from his own life and the people around him. These personal stories give an opportunity to think about life, illuminating the emotions we all feel but just can’t fully explain.

TruckerBomb

‘Broken Like Me’

[country/americana]

Press Notes:

The music of TruckerBomb takes a dash of dive bar grunge and mixes it with the up-tempo swing of honky-tonk. Los Angeles isn’t known as a hotbed for Americana, but that doesn’t stop TruckerBomb from doing their thing. It’s just a matter of time before one of their songs gets dropped into a film soundtrack.
The band’s fourth single, “Broken Like Me,” brings them back to the solid country-rock styling they’re known for, showing off the versatility of the players and complementing the expressive lyrics. Inspired by a broken relationship, the song takes on a direction of its own and challenges listeners to make their own decisions about its meaning.
Troy Richardson isn’t a common songwriter. He’s known for his ability to twist a phrase, infusing sarcasm and humor in equal doses to serious observations.
Growing up, Troy Richardson spent many summers in South Dakota. Compared to his hometown of Minneapolis, it felt like the wild west. Even though he’d go on to spend most of his time playing in rock bands, he never forgot the vibe of those truck stops and diners that cranked up classic ’70s country. Inspired by that experience, and the southern rock of the ’80s that threw a little bit of every style into the mix, he formed TruckerBomb to bridge alt-country and Americana with alternative and hard rock.
