We had already talked about the triumphant live performance of the Icelandic veterans at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Festival where they also previewed a brand new track called ‘Óveður’.
On 20th June a mysterious short looped teaser video, named ‘Route One’, appeared on the band’s official website and social channels with a text announcing ‘sigurrosrouteone begins 21.00 GMT’.
But at the end the excitement of the fans for something resounding may be disappointed: it’s a ‘Slow TV’ 24-hour stream experiment that will allow to virtually visit Iceland accompanied by a constantly evolving soundtrack based around elements of the band’s new song ‘Óveður’, generated in real time by an innovative music software called Bronze.
The streaming is reaching 2000 likes, so Sigur Rós hardcore fans and technology nerds get on with it!
