Michel Gondry took the initiative and directed the latest video for The White Stripes‘ ‘City Lights‘. This is considered as ‘a genius surprise gift‘ by Jack White and Third Man Records. Gondry has collaborated again in the past with The White Stripes in four legendary videos. ‘City Lights‘ is the first release of the band since 2008 and it was originally written for the ‘Get Behind Me Satan‘, but got forgotten and left out unreleased. The forgotten track got finished in 2016 by Jack White and has been included in his latest compilation album ‘Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016‘.
