The Spiritual Bat is based in Italy but has performed at several festivals in Europe, such as WGT, Whitby Goth Weekend, Return To The Batcave, Gotham Sounds, Castle Party besides several other shows. They have shared the stage with the likes of Gene Loves Jezebel, Skeletal Family, Soror Dolorosa, In The Nursery, Fields of The Nephilim, Garden Of Delight, Clan of Xymox, Frankenstein, and many others.

The Spiritual Bat is Dario Passamonti (Guitar, Music, Arrangements) and Rosetta Garrì (Lyrics, Vocals, Arrangements, Percussions). Recent collaborators have included Ashkelon Sain (of Trance To The Sun, from Portland, OR), Alessio Santoni (Volume-Ufip-Facus, from Rome), Aaron Nicholes (of Legion Within, from Seattle, WA), and currently the young talents Massimo Ceci and Emilio Torella from Frosinone, Italy.

The Spiritual Bat is an evolution from “The Spiritual Bats” project (plural), of which Dario was co-founder in 1992 – featuring artwork by the Alchemisti Painters (Biennial of Venice, 1986 Art and Alchemy section), on album covers and projections in live performances. In 1994 the Spiritual Bats opened for Rozz Williams (Christian Death) and his Daucus Karota.
