You cannot expect less from a band consisting of Slowdive‘s Rachel Goswell, Mogwai‘s Stuart Braithwaite, Editors‘ Justin Lockey, and his brother James Lockey of Hand Held Cine Club, than the anthemic shoegaze pop of ‘Breaking The Light’. Shot in black & white, the still camera focuses on an old man drinking and smoking.
Their self-titled debut album is due for release on 3rd June through the always reliable Fat Possum in U.S., and Play It Again Sam worldwide.
