Los Angeles based band Rah Rah Rabbit is set to release ‘Ghosts’ an EP of just under 20 minutes of good ol’ honky tonk country on February 2nd. Every song off ‘Ghosts’ is an invitation to dance, in some form or fashion. The EP starts off with ‘Doin’ Time’ a calm and melodic hip-swaying tune about the malaise of being down on your luck, sliding us into ‘Game Your Playing’. If Kitty Welles was a modern day songstress with fabulous backing harmonization and floor stomping, we would have the second track off ‘Ghosts’. ‘Little Space Song’ is a love song encapsulating the milky way, practically begging you to slow dance with a loved one (or yourself). Fourth track ‘Wolves’, builds the energy high again, getting a groove going. Whereas ‘Happy’ is the perfect outro: poppy guitar strumming paired with fuzzy yet crystalline vocals reminiscent of 1920s Americana and folk – this reviewer’s favorite off the EP.

In celebration of ‘Ghosts’ release and frontwoman Rabbit’s birthday, Rah Rah Rabbit will be performing at L.A.’s renowned venue Silverlake Lounge on February 2nd along with L.A.’s Southern rocker with a country flair Ryan Hahn and old-time western singer Rosy Nolan. Rah Rah Rah Rabbit promise boot stomping, high energy fun, so be sure to check out the gig if you’re in the L.A. area.
