This is what founder of Warped Tour Kevin Lyman, stated to Billboard:
“Before Warped I was on three years of Lollapalooza, so [it’s been] 26 straight summers out on the road,”… “Not that I’m completely going anywhere, but traveling around the country with a tour this size in the landscape that we’re in is… to be honest, I’m just tired.”
After 23 years of existence and having exposed bands such as Paramore, My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy, but on the other hand the decrease in the line-up quality during the last years, 2018’s festival will be the last one. with bands like Fall Out Boy, Pennywise, NOFX, and Bad Religion.
“I wanna go have fun,” he says. “It hasn’t been fun the last few years.”
