- Northaunt – ‘Part II‘
Northaunt has been one of the most renowned artists in the dark ambient genre since their contribution to the ‘Nord Ambient Alliance‘ album. With this album which was only the second release on Cyclic Law, Northaunt, Svartsinn and Kammarheit were all introduced to the masses and became some of the most cherished names in the genre.
Now, 15+ years and four albums later, Northaunt is back with the third chapter in their Istid series, and also their first release through the Glacial Movements label. ‘Istid III‘ focuses on the barren frozen landscapes of the northern world, before mankind. As the series continues, humanity slowly becomes part of the equation. On ‘Part II‘ of this third chapter of Istid we hear the beautiful field recordings and serene drones as they gently sweep through the soundscapes, but this time there is more, samples of a melancholic female voice enter the mix, giving us the first taste of humanity in this frigid realm. Close your eyes. Sink into the frozen landscapes of the north. Succumb to their majesty as Northaunt takes you on this journey, as only he can.

- Moby – ‘Mere Anarchy‘
‘Caution of the world you said was over
Caution where we were
Caution where we were
O-o-oh
Caution of the world you said was over
Caution where we were
Caution where we were
O-o-oh
Caution cities
Razed by no one
Caution waits but never find hope
Caution lifts we did this wrong
Caution has the way and I don’t feel this anymore
Caution of the world he said was over
Caution where we were
Caution where we were
O-o-oh
For a long time we stayed down
And all we said was sleep alone
Watch the city fall
With those eyes so low
Watch the sunlight
Watch it go
Watch the storm rise
Watch the storm fall
Watch the storm rise
I watch the storm fall
Caution of the world he said was over
Caution where we were
Caution where we were
O-o-oh
Caution of the world he said was over
Caution where we were
Caution where we were
O-o-oh‘
Electronica genius Moby is back with a new masterpiece. Read the lyrics, listen to the track and…. think!
