1. Desperate Journalist  – ‘Fault’

‘Our’ British darlings Desperate Journalist (make sure you re-visit their 2017 interview with LDD) are back with the first taster from their upcoming, 4th album ‘Maximum Sorrow!‘, out on 2nd July 2021 on Fierce Panda. ‘Fault‘ is an intense, gloriously bass-driven, dark, post punk treat which finds the band on top form and furthermore Jo Bevan gifting us with another spine-chilling vocal performance. The accompanying video, shot on b&w and directed by Nick JS Thompson is a great fit for the track….

Lift The Veil‘ by American outfit Graveyard Gossip is a persuasive dark electro pop dynamite with witch house elements, spectacular synth work, ideally combined female vocals and thunderous rhythm…. A track about departure and death, couldn’t have been better than this one; Highly danceable for all the “creatures of the nite”!

  1. Fleur bleu.e – ‘STOLT 89’

Fleur bleu.e (named after the French expression that gently mocks soppy lovers) is a French dream pop/indie duo consisting of Delphine and Vladimir, two musicians that have been playing and composing music since their childhood. ‘STOLT 89‘, -produced with Ben Etter (Deerhunter, Franz Ferdinand, Hazel English)- was inspired by feminist authors Andrea Dworkin and John Stoltenberg, and is a manifesto against gender domination sung in French on a shadowy pop carved by electric guitar licks. The video is a pop art sensation and if you wish to listen to this “Broadcast meet Beach House“, all you have to do is press the play button right below!
