- The Dodos – ‘Excess’
‘Excess‘ is taken from the just released album of The Dodos with the title ‘Certainty Waves‘ (Polyvinyl). The Dodos is the experimental rock, percussion driven indie folk duo of Meric Long (singer, guitarist) and Logan Kroeber (drummer). Their music is full of energy and melodic experiments. Logan’s drum skills which rages from metal to African percussion, make their music to distinct. The two musicians started playing together in 2005 in San Francisco. Since then they have released six more albums.

- Promethee – ‘Demons‘
Promethee are from Geneva, Switzerland and formed in 2008. They have gained important feedback from the press and audience after one EP and two full albums. Now, their third album is already out there called ‘Convalescence‘ by Lifeforce Records and I would dare say that European hardcore has a different “taste”.

- MESSIMER – ‘I Know I Should‘
What I love most about MESSIMER, is that on their very first single ‘I Know I Should‘, sound like the perfect combination of awesome 90’s, guitar-rock underdogs Ass Ponys (do you remember them?) with the 60’s ‘sunshine’ of the legendary The Beach Boys. Listening to this gem on repeat, “I know I should” be smiling for the rest of the day. Ready for some melodies that will seep into your brain?

- STAL – ‘Jump With Me‘
‘Jump With Me‘ by STAL may very well be one of the most memorable indie electro hymns of this year. The track is taken off ‘Fresh Blood EP‘ and catchy from start to finish, that will fill your heart and soul with optimism. Seductive synths, dynamic rhythm, and confident vocal performance…
Since this gem is “a story about taking the leap of faith to fall in love, which can be simultaneously exhilarating and frightening“, I think it’s worth taking the risk. Instant banger!

- Twist – ‘Venus‘
Toronto based, Twist yesterday shared their first single ‘Venus‘ from their upcoming new album ‘Distancing‘ with stated date of official release on December 7th via Buzz Records. This new song is inspired by tarot cards & is an indie pop track with dream pop elements that will make you immediately sway in its rhythm. With the evocative and sweet vocals of Laura Hermiston and the clever production by Brian Borcherdt in this first preview, the forthcoming album can be nothing less but promising.
