Twin Bridges‘ Zach Gerzon turned to songwriting with a cello as his therapeutic refuge following the sudden loss of a parent and the ache of romantic heartbreak. The cello’s tonal depth infused his darkly melodic indie rock with a haunting beauty, which resonates throughout his band’s emotional and cathartic debut album, Fertile Ashes. The album’s poignant first single, Carbon & Dust, reflects a sense of yearning.

Collaborating with Durnis Markov, the Portland neoclassical folk project Twin Bridges delivers an exceptional visual experience in the accompanying video, further enhancing the emotional depth of their musical creation.
