Tom says – “When I first started writing this song, it was mainly about a friend’s romantic relationship that I found to be extremely toxic at times. I ended up taking the most extreme cases of stories I had heard and elaborated on them, painting the picture of someone who’s so in love that they can only see the good in them, even when that person may be burning their life to the ground.”
