What we love most about Tinynormous and their instrumental gem Precipice Recipe, taken from the 2023, 7-track The Minnesnowta EP, is the fact they combine jazz fusion complexity with melodic immediacy, keeping the listener attached to their sound from start to finish. Think of TNT-era Tortoise, but with a warmer sound, and more post rock-ish than jazzy and you migh get a clue. This solo project has an eclectic, wide range of influences from Joe Satriani and Jimi Hendrix to Jeff Buckley & Matt Cameron.
