Los Angeles-based global jazz ensemble, The Neighborhood Orchestra recently released their second single, In A Little Mood. the song serves as an ode to the group’s commitment to community building, thankfulness, and appreciation for the diverse musical and ethnic landscape of Los Angeles. This mirrors the mosaic of cultures and backgrounds represented within the ensemble. Following their debut single, A Girl Like You, In A Little Mood is an engaging instrumental track highlighting zestful horn lines and an energetic rhythm section, including a three-piece interlocking percussion section.
Mixed and mastered by GRAMMY-award winner Josef Leimberg (known for work with Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Myka 9), the release is accompanied by a video featuring footage from their performance at Bridge Fest, supporting Ozomatli during a free community event that drew over 10k attendees on the recently re-opened 6th Street Bridge, connecting the Arts District and Boyle Heights in East Los Angeles. A splendid mixture of ethnic, funk, and jazz fusion sound.
