Terra Lightfoot, the accomplished singer-songwriter hailing from Haliburton, Ontario, known for her JUNO and Polaris Prize nominations, has graced us with a vibrant and bold pop-rock album titled Healing Power. The album boasts a synth-inflected rock anthem in the form of Come Back Around, a song Terra penned on the shores of Lake Ontario, in the Ontario Place parking lot, on the same day she wrote the fellow album track, Need You Tonight. Come Back Around is an indie pop triumph, enriched by subtle electronic elements, a vivid pace and rhythm, and a bright melody that’s sure to brighten your day and make it a memorable musical experience. An adorable a la Matt and Kim treat!
“I think the intention of doing the right thing doesn’t always work out the way we want it to. For me, the biggest takeaway from this song is that it’s helpful to know that you can always get back up after you make a mistake. The lesson you were supposed to learn will still be there waiting for you until you’re ready to try again,” she explains.
