With Through the Branches, Portland-based indie outfit Strange Pilgrim delivers a poignant reflection on the disorienting calm of the early pandemic era. Anchored in warm jangle-pop textures, the track evokes a haunting sense of suspended time — a period when isolation reshaped our perception of the everyday. Produced by Josh Barnhart and engineered by Cory Gray, the song balances atmospheric instrumentation with a wistful melodic sensibility.

It serves as a compelling preview of the band’s forthcoming album, Too Bright Planet, out September 26th via Royal Oakie Records.
