Atmospheric disco pop-rock track Transfigured is the latest single from electronic outfit Spirits Of Saturn, provoking a devout need to replay almost immediately upon hearing. Based in London, Spirits Of Saturn is a collective effort between Superorganisms member Early Sans, vocalist and synth artist, vocalist Edmund Blackadder, bassist and keyboardist Scott Docherty, and drummer Elian Lion. Released via Silver Room Records, Transfigured is an instant classic, meshing 70s disco and soft power pop (a la Todd Rundgren) with a confident Motorik beat all through a synth led lens placed firmly in the present, much in the same realm as fellow English bands such as Blossoms. Lyrically Transfigured implores a past relationship and is opaque enough to create your own narrative. As the perfect release pairing, Spirits Of Saturn shared a music video for the catchy tune, which you can check out below. The video splits time between a mystical figure donning cardinal-red robes and trippy footage of the band performing.
