Skymender, hailing from Washington, D.C., has just released their debut album If and Only via Steadfast Records, and Jetwash is a standout single from the album. The song features dual vocals from Ashley Scurto and guitarist Kenny Grose, creating an ethereal and dreamy atmosphere. With S. Dwayne Bruner on drums (known for Cross My Heart and Government Issue), guitarist James Banta, and bassist Zahin Huq, Skymender’s unique sound is often described as “shoegaze-adjacent.” They draw from a diverse range of influences, including post punk, postrock, emo, and dream pop, resulting in a nostalgic ’90s vibe that’s sure to captivate listeners.
