ShoutHouse, an NYC-based collective, harmonizes intricate grooves, poetic hip-hop, powerhouse vocals, and instrumental virtuosity into a signature sound. The ensemble boasts two emcees, a vocalist, and a 12-piece band blending hip-hop, jazz, and classical roots. Conceived by composer/pianist Will Healy, ShoutHouse’s fusion of “postrock, art-rock, and indie classical” (New York Music Daily) showcases a diverse cast from NYC’s musical tapestry.
Their latest opus, Shiny Objects, was birthed from recordings by 18 global musicians in 2020—cellists in Germany, harpists in Florida. An epic, orchestral soundscape infused with folk, rock, and nu jazz hues, it tackles social media misinformation and conspiracy theory rise. Hannah Zazzaro’s potent vocals, Connell Thompson’s sax solo, and Jack Gulielmetti’s production illuminate the project.
