Florida-based heavy alternative rock trio, Sarah & The Silent Poets, have recently dropped their latest single, which happens to be a cover of The Runaways’ debut single Cherry Bomb. This legendary band is one of the biggest inspirations for the trio, and they have managed to create an explosive rendition that unleashes a punk rock energy running at about 1.5 times the original pace. The band has infused the track with a heavier punk rock sound, complemented by a sleazy flavor. The band’s charismatic frontwoman delivers a dominating vocal performance, and although the band is honest about not trying to change the world with this cover, they are solely interested in having fun.
