Sampling Is Beautiful trio presents an innovative blend of jazz and hip-hop, featuring three talented musicians—Zajazza on samples, scratch, and keyboard, Japhet Boristhène on drums and rap (à la Chassol), and Yacha Berdah on trumpet, bass, and looper (in the vein of Ibrahim Maalouf). Their latest track Cut Off, built upon a sample from Ennio Morricone’s La Cugina, becomes a sampling ode. The trio collaborates with Australian rapper Nelson Dialect (High Focus), seamlessly merging jazz and hip-hop elements. Divided into two parts, the track first hosts the dynamic interplay of rappers Nelson and Japhet, followed by a modern jazz fusion segment.
